Privacy Notice

This app doesn't collect any data identifying you as an individual. The app doesn't give access to your data to anybody, neither 3rd parties nor the app's authors have access to your data. We use Google Analytics to improve the app, details see below.

Data protection mechanisms for sensitive data

Data is stored only locally on your mobile device. The app uses SQLite to store the data on the mobile device itself.

The database file itself is stored in an internal folder so that the data is accessible to the app only and hidden from users (getDatabasePath).

Optional - Export/Import functionality:

If you use the export/import functionality, a copy of the database is stored in the application specific (cache) directory on the filesystem (getCacheDir, getFilesDir) and afterwards shared as selected by the user.

Optional - Backup functionality:

If you use the backup functionality, database copies are created on a regular base for later restore.

Optional - Send database functionality:

The user can send/share a database copy, for this purpose a database copy is stored in the external cache directory of the mobile device (getExternalCacheDir)

Optional - Synchronization

If you use the synchronization feature, the app's data is cached on your mobile device (getExternalFilesDir) and stored on your Google Drive account. You and anybody you give access to that folder (default: nobody except you has access) can read/write/delete this data.

Permission Details

Read/modify/delete contents on your SD card This permission is required for the automatic data backup and for the manual data import and export.

In-App purchases: We offer add-ons that allow you to extend the app from a pure breastfeeding tracker to a complete baby tracker.

Identity: add or remove accounts, find and use accounts on the device, read/modify contacts, view network connections: These permissions enable the synchronization between mobile devices through your Google Drive account (optional add-on).

Google Analytics. We're using Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics in order to see which of the app's features are really in use and to detect problems in the app. The goal of this is to improve the app. You can switch off Google Analytics in the app under options->General->Allow anonymous collection of data.

The synchronization between mobile devices through your Google Drive account (optional add-on)

Run at startup enables the use of status bar widgets and the automatic backup onto your mobile's SD card.

Data Storage

This app stores the data you entered in the following ways:

The automatic backups and the app's database are stored on your SD card. Upon uninstallation the database gets deleted, the automatic backups still persist (in the folder Nursing on your mobile's SD card).

If you use the synchronization then your data gets stored in your Google Drive Account. The data there is private and will not be deleted by uninstalling the app.
